Warhammer’s release schedule is all about the WTF
Announced in 2005, delayed three times over the past six months, but will it be ready and is it enough time? It has to launch, but there is no reason why EAMythic should have thought about releasing Warhammer that early when it was only announced in 2005. Unless EAMythic wants it to be a pile of flaming camel shit balls that would make Vanguard look like the hooker with gold plated teeth that left your genitals sparkling in gold dust after your first corpse run.
Every other MMOG is in normally in development for normally three-to-four years, and even Tabula Rasaeven took five or six years. Long development times won’t guarantee a great result, but a better result. I gripe, oh do I , and I see it elsewhere, we wait anxiously to get our pee v pee on, but I got the nerd rage for Mark Jacobs on this one and here’s why: the man is a braggart. Jacobs has bragged a lot that DAOC took less than two years to develop. Assuming the same thing is even remotely possible with a title like WAR in this day and age is on the absurdity levels of cave men with the power of flight that shoot laser beams from their nads.
EAMythic wants the people that haven’t heard of Warhammer, they want the players frustrated with WoW’s PvP. I am this person. PvP is going to be the fucking reason to play. I ask people all the time in vent and in tells if they are going to play Warhammer for the PvP. Most haven’t even heard of it. I attempt to explain what will make Warhammer’s PvP better than WoW’s, and I’m met with either laughter or astonishment and a promise to check it out. I won’t bother for awhile, at least until the open beta. So to EAMythic and Mark Jacobs, thanks for delaying Warhammer, and stick to a realistic date on your next MMOG even if your egos tell you otherwise.

Man, I wish I could shoot lasers out of my nads.
Think about WoW’s launch/OB. I mean when the OB first opened, I didn’t think nearly as many people knew about the game. How many subs did they have at launch? I know it wasn’t 10 friggin million. Sure word got out via Battle.net ads (D2, WC3, etc), but I think a lot of people found out via word of mouth. I know I’ve been fed up with WoW anything for a long fuckin time, so I’m sure by now everyone else is too probably. I would love to see that game fucking dwindle and die, that would be so great. Oh yeah, my point, I think there are a lot of people who will hear about WAR through the same channels that they heard about WoW in. Entire guilds will be moving or splitting into divisions. Saying people will not leave WoW for WAR is like saying people in the grocery store checkout line won’t move to the newly opened lane, y’know, people need their fuckin groceries.
I know you didn’t say that, and that I’m talking to myself, hypothesizin ur blogzorz.
