Oh, and they played WoW. … Seriously, wtf? Many types of people from all walks of life play MMOGs, this is no different than anyone who worships Jesus and turns out to be a serial killer or appears to be an upstanding member of their community.

It drives me nuts when media, parents, or authorities looking for someone to blame are quick to bring up a video game. Sooo… if someone who plays golf kills someone, does it mean golf makes people violent? If someone who spends a lot of time with their church, as you say, kills someone, does it mean spending time at church indicates social problems?

Of course not, yet that’s the assumption if the culprit is a video game.

Sigh…

Of course this has nothing to do with WoW, but how many fucking stupid crazy people are there who will say it does just to try and tarnish the name? Didn’t Jack Thompson or some other asshat say WoW had weapons that are similar to weapons used in modern times? They’re stupid and they have an agenda and that agenda is also stupid. The fact of the matter is, people have mental problems that can allow them to murder their own child. WoW has 8 gazillion subscribers. How many people who have killed someone have also played a game of tennis or swam in a pool? Does that mean that tennis players and swimmers are murderers? Of course not.

Moral of the story: people are stupid and crazy.
