I haven't been that impressed with anything from Warhammer's camp either, but I'm fairly jaded. It doesn't look awful or anything, but it doesn't make me scream out, "holy shit, I got to play this!" Six months out is still plenty of time to get a lot done unless you worked on Vanguard. (low-blow!) Remember World of Warcraft's beta, hunters weren't implemented until the very end. Granted it shipped with shoddy high end content, but it was in beta for a full year and that's longer than most. I think Warhammer's beta will last longer than a year. It started in February?

You really do make the blogging rounds! I see you are updating again or have been, sweet man.

My concern for Warhammer has always been that they haven't been showing us anything of substance. It has been newbie areas and canned RvR scenarios. While good, it really doesn't show a game that is supposedly six months out. Hell, we don't even have all the classes yet!

But is this an uncommon beta practice? I'm not really sure, but it doesn't make much sense to have testers beating away at content that is obsolete. Also it gives the server team a chance to pool it's resources.
