Stick some forks in me

If you haven’t noticed, my writing languishes, it has happened before, normally when my rambles fade into the dark it stems from not playing any mmogs. My last fix was three weeks ago, and I sense a few cancellations on the horizon for a short time until I fall off the wagon again.

I was gamboling about in Everquest II - the Neriak and cruel and evil fairy update served as a catalyst for my friend to harangue me into swearing loyalty and enlist in a two-party adventuring band - what are friends for! Shortly thereafter, he decided EverQuest II was waste of his time, (a lot of this was blamed on the combat system - and I agree, the combat is not good, fucking retarded, bad apple, sad panda, no gummy candies for you) but to be fair, he would return to Kunark if some castle was filled with naked Natalie Portman encounters! I suggested with enough homemade meth, this could happen sooner than later; not convincing enough nor wanting to invest in dentures, he departed and I was left alone, egad. I find engaging in the solo arts a bit dull because I have mmog ADD and it became more difficult to find the motivation to play just for the norm rewards: levels and loot. At least, the first twenty levels I experienced. Only twenty levels, yea, twenty levels isn’t shit, but if you can’t hook me in 20, there is no point in suffering for another twenty and I’m not scouring adult elf-finder for new hookups.

After that downfall, I was throwed into a poker spasm for a week or so, that was enjoyable up until last week when I had an epiphany that free-play online poker was about as fun as playing another same class on a different server alt in World of Warcraft. Other than that, I consumed season three of Deadwood and my current viewing lies with the first season of Veronica Mars. Down time well spent, Veronica Mars is definitely better than I expected. Netflix currently beats any current mmog subscription and I just queued up Planet Earth, it’s all the rage from what I read over the data tubes. I have also been spending an inordinate amount of time above ground, grillin’ sumptuous delectable meats and searing my pasty flab in the hot Nevada desert sun. I’m aiming for redneck wife-beater tan of the month.
