Relations with the WoW forum community remind me of the time I threw up in my sleep and almost drowned in my own sludge - not very delectable when that massive lump in the back of my gullet trap, errrr - I’ll stop all further details there. But think of all the perks that come with working at Blizzard! I bet some are grand… For example: Take sitting in the Blizzard cafeteria, peering at the increasingly popular table five - “Holy Illidan’s cack in a sling, is that Tigole sitting at table five with the programmers? I might over hear an actual dev convo for the first time in a month!” Oh, and standing around for days on end at all those Blizzard events getting asked the same retarded questions asked on the forums.

What about back in the office, you know trudging the WoW forums 40+ hours a week and replying to the genetic defects about asinine topics like shamans totems getting stuck in their ass, thus reducing overall dps by 3 and shifting the balance of the almighty WoW DPS universe. It’s enough to chip away any sane person’s resilience and once its gone, the brain cells start leaving and eventually a lobotomy sets in - making work more about keeping your keyboard clean. “Open mouth, drools slithers out, close mouth drool droops out of nose… Brain recognizes pattern of a sock on your foot! *take it off and poop and put it back on or throw at nearest person!*”

If you resist the onset of said transformation, you actually have to do the secretarial part, a CM has to gather and bottle all this vitriol and sell it to a dev all while they laugh back in their face and trash it the second they walk out the door, shitty ass thankless job – but hey, I’m sure Tseric knew what he was getting into before he signed on the dotted line, soon they’ll need Blizzard therapists on the community team.

The forums don’t suck, those players stewing the forums into a cesspool do - doesn’t matter if you put in a retina scanner that detects lifeform IQ and only allows players with a non-Neanderthal brain to post, some of them have the brain power to string a sentence or two. No matter how or what a CM says, there is no civility or rational with mongrels. They deserve canned responses: “Yea, I passed that along” and “Thanks for the input.” They deserve to be ignored – WoW community managers can’t make that big of a difference in all that sludge. Shun on!
