There’s only a few weeks left before eMiddle Earth™ hits desktops, there is still plenty of time to plan ahead because you don’t want to end up like this foozle from the the official LOTRO forums making it my forum pick of the week.

Tandy keeping me from playing a dandy Hobbit

Yep… I was looking forward to playing/testing this game. But alas… I haven’t the time or money to go and change out my processor so I can run that stupid SSE thing. (To change my processor I’d have to change my dated motherboard and everything else along with it.)

I guess I will have to wait for some money and play Everquest 2 again… it looks just as well, I’m already established, and I don’t need to change anything about my pc to play it.

And before anyone asks (if they even care), I’m not even sure what processor I am using nor how to enable SSE… so if anyone wants to help me, you may need to have to tell me how to find those things out.

Can’t afford new hardware or looking for some cheap upgrades? Check out anandtech’s buy/sell/trade forum, before engaging in a shady back-thread interweb deal be sure to check out your opponent’s “heatware” (references). I’ve bought and sold in this forum before and never encountered any problems. If you want new with decent prices and an awesome return policy if something were to “accidentally” stop working fail, I shop Newegg. If you have any questions about your computer hardware and are looking for another opinion on an upgrade path feel free to pick my brain in the comments.
