My Burning Crusade, It burns
Questions: When are you going to send out the e-mails from the Honor/Leveling content for acceptance into the BC beta? Its been months without word and i’m growing tired!
Ordinn: We’re going to announce those next week. There was an issue with the data. Just so you know - everyone who participated won.
Finally, after two months of agonizing patience this past weekend I discovered a rarity, a bearded dwarf delivering good news.
I’ve been in a holding pattern since I conquered the leveling realm with my elitist free time skills. In my own dishonor, I constructed a special medal out of an aluminum beer can, hot glued a blue ribbon I ninja-looted from a ten year old, and as each starry night falls I vicariously pretend I’m Rob Pardo, a master of shaping worlds and perform an award ceremony in my mother’s basement. Afterall, I’m one of the best power levelers in whack-a-mole history, I have earned this insanity.
Over the last month since reaching the level 50 finish line, I haven’t been motivated to indulge my WoW spirits, racking up six days played in three weeks once again burned me out, a vicious cycle repeating itself more frequently as my experience with these worlds evolve. Too only make matters sting, most intelligible contestants with a brain who participated, willingly understood these borrowed characters wouldn’t be played for keeps. Disposable-Yes, I’m an idiot, and soon I will be leveling up numerous throw-away characters in the Burning Crusade beta.
The new server I transferred my non-throw away characters (warlock, hunter) didn’t work out as I had been hoping it would and too only make matters worse, my partner in heists stopped playing due to a hectic real-life schedule. We had transferred our characters to flee from the chaotic weekend queues of Proudmoore. Playing WoW with real-life mates is much more enthralling than the ubiquitous assfaces found in pugs. Attempting to login and roam around solo on my new server and vanquish foozles for the repetitive quests I’ve repeated numerously in the past only proves futile, but at least I can count on my beta pass if I want to throw more characters away.

Everyone who participated won? Sweet! That’s awesome. Now I just need to find time to play WoW and the expansion beta. And move across the country.
Damn my lazy ass for not rolling a char there. Crap on a stick I say!
KK
I am filled with glee everyone who participated won a beta slot, including my sister who despite my warnings about the required time investment she managed to play two characters under level fifteen. She was ecstatic once I delivered the good news. I’ll let you know my char names after the beta goes live and we can group and kill foozles together.
Congratulations on your new endeavor with Lucas Arts. I am very envious, it sounds like this will be a very exciting time in your life. Are you hiring movers or trucking your own goods cross country? I’d help unload, but I am stuck in the outer boondocks near Vegas.
KK, you snoozer.
Definitely love to group once the beta starts. Will you be going Horde or Alliance? Hmm, Draenei or Blood Elves?
I am completely and totally hiring movers. I have way too much stuff to try to convince friends to help me with beer and pizza. They wouldn’t stay my friends for long if I tried.
Both! I’m more inclined to play Draenei than Blood Alvs, I’m more interested in their territories. What about you?
Same here - just love starting zones, want to see them both. Guess it depends a bit on what class I decide to try and what they have available. Guess we’ll just have to work it out when it gets here!
Yea, invites delayed (again) and blue changed the winner requisites. Unfortunately not all participants will receive a beta slot as previously stated. Players needed at least one level 25 or above or 1 point of honor. I’m good and I’m sure you are too, but I know six participants on the leveling server including my sister who won’t be receiving invites and that is a bummer.
It’s september now, I had 2 lvl23 characters, and a lvl25 on the leveling test server, yet got no notice of anything…
I’m still in the beta queue too, I haven’t received a confirmation e-mail either.
How do you know if you’re on the beta queue? I was on the honour realm, and am sure I got some HK’s. However, I’m not on the winners list.
I don’t, I do know my name is on the winner’s list, and I’m endlessly waiting for beta access or any information from Blizzard about how they gave my beta account away for fun. I’ve given up, my mind is set on Blizzard’s forgotten promise or by the time my invite is sent the beta will last all of two weeks considering the supposed November release date is creeping up.
