“Brown” is the least of the problems

They lost me early in when they revealed that they were going to bring back “hardcore” gaming. Examples would be camping Ragefire (before EQ made him a triggered spawn), or camping Stormfeather.

Remember how much fun having an entire guild sitting on their butts for hours on end waiting for Ragefire? Remember how much fun it was being KS’d by another guild when it finally did spawn?

I remember, that’s why I’ll be playing EQ 2, let me know how that “Vision(TM)” thing works out for ya!

Pretty much every Vanguard thread in the last couple of months where the Vanbois have been using “OMG it’s still in beta” or similar excuses I’ve replied ‘X weeks until E3, right?’ and left it at that.

So far, none of them have understood it.

The game STILL has potential. However the initial plans of catering to hardcore games isn’t exactly paying off in spades. The letting go, mind you I didn’t say leaving, of several core developers is a good indicator of whats going on inside. In it’s current state, I’d expect a 2007 launch. Only 1 testing continent, out of 3. A 1/3rd of the classes are unimplimented. The game has been in beta for nearly 8 months already. It’s starting to sound like Lotro.
